The Jammy Dodgers

Pop band playing hits from the sixties

The Jammy Dodgers were formed when I was offered the chance of taking over a jam session in a local pub. I drew up a play list of simple songs, which I was already teaching to students. I then asked a few friends if they were interested in helping out. People out of the audience were encouraged to come up on-stage to join in. After a few stints, it was obvious that the audience viewed these “jam” sessions very differently to what we intended. People thought we were a proper band, and private bookings started rolling in.

The Jammy Dodgers are:

Barry Oldnall: Guitar and vocals
Simon Dennis: Guitar and vocals
Rick Huxley: Bass and vocals
